Tabtel services are very easy to use
and user-friendly. It requires no in-depth configuration
or complicated setup process. Just a one-time configuration
of your device is all you need to do to get started.

To know IP address
of your device in DHCP environment - most of the Home and
Business network use DHCP, connect device with your network/router,
power up device, attach a touch-tone telephone to Phone-1,
after few seconds pick up the receiver and press "*"
key four times, upon voice prompt press "110#"
to hear the IP address of your device.
If you have any other SIP broadband device, same configuration
needs to be setup, however you may face different wordings.
Most of the devices including Linksys
PAP2 and Sipura
support both DHCP and Static IP. Linksys
PAP2 and Sipura
SPA-1000/2000 have 100% same design firmware and wordings,
even there is no difference in configuration setup.

PC-Dialer:
When you install PC-Dialer,
it automatically starts setup wizard (while running wizard
your PC must be connected with Internet). After successful
setup, it will ask you to enter your 8-digit account number
and 4-digit password or alternatively you can enter this
information by clicking on “Account” menu and
then click on “Change User” option.
Dial-up
device DPH-70S:
To configure DPH-70S, you need to setup as under:
- ISP Parameters.
1.1 Phone Number.
1.2 User Name.
1.3 Password.
- Calling Card (Tabtel) Parameters.
2.1 User ID.
2.2 Password.
2.3 SIP Proxy: <sip.tabtel.com>
After above setup press “5” to save configuration
and exit.
Main
KEYS for easy Installation:
# Key used to ENTER any operation done in the configuration
(similar to ENTER key on your PC keyboard).
An IVR voice prompt will help you in entering the configuration
or review details.
Each parameter in the Menu of the DPH-70S is prompted by
the IVR, after hearing the configuration in the chosen parameter,
you can:
- Press 1 to ACCEPT the prompted parameter (or Press
1 to EDIT).
- Or Press 2 to Re-ENTER the prompted parameter (or
Press 2 to SKIP).
Entering Letters
and Digits:
Tip: always wait for a fraction of a second after
entering a letter or digit so that you can hear the voice
prompt repeating what you have entered.
Digits: Press once any digit key to enter the correspondent
digit (ex. Press 2 once to enter 2).
Letters: Press twice the digit key to enter the 1st letter
on the correspondent digit (ex. Press 2 twice to enter a).
Press three times the digit key to enter the 2nd letter
(ex. Press 2 three times to enter b), four
times to enter the 3rd letter, etc.
Capital Letters: Press SHIFT before entering a letter (ex.
Press SHIFT followed by three times 2 to enter C).
Special Characters: Press DIAL UP followed
by the correspondent key in the following table:

To Enter CONFIGURATION
Menu:

N.B: When you have finished settings, always
remember to Press 5 on the main menu to SAVE configuration
& EXIT.
If you have any other SIP based Dial-up device, you need
to enter your ISP phone number, user name and password,
also you need to enter your 8-digit account number, 4-digit
password and SIP Proxy: <sip.tabtel.com>. Most of
the Dial-up devices automatically set the voice codec, if
your Dial-up device does not set voice codec automatically,
please set voice codec to: G.723.

HOW
TO DIAL A TELEPHONE NUMBER:
Please always dial: Country Code + Area/City Code + Telephone
Number.
For Example (dialing to New York, USA): 1-212-7773456 -
No need to dial "011" or "00".
HOW
TO USE SMS CALLBACK:
To use SMS Callback service, please make sure that
your mobile or cell phone is capable of sending and receiving
SMS messages. The procedure is as under:
Send an SMS message to the access number:

INTERNET
SPEED NEEDED TO USE TABTEL SERVICES:
Tabtel is one of the
few VoIP companies which only requires 30 kbits/sec
(approx. half of normal Dial-up Internet) to make and receive
phone calls. Tabtel uses industry standard G.723 Voice Codec
without compromising the quality of voice. G.723 allows
you make and receive phone calls and to perform normal Internet
activity at the same time. To send/receive faxes, please
make sure you have clear 100 kbits/sec up & down Internet
speed.
ERROR
MESSAGES:
While using devices or PC-Dialer, you may sometime
hear different error messages due to improper use or incorrect
dialing etc. they are as under:
If you have received a message 'Your Account
is Temporarily Unavailable' or S480, we
recommend that you wait approx. 10 minutes before attempting
to use your account again.
If the problem persists, please contact
us. Be sure to include your User ID an explanation
of the problem and the exact error message.
We apologize for the problems that you
have experienced attempting to use our software. Should
you receive the error message S404 or S484,
this indicates that you are not dialing using the correct
format.
Please ensure that you are dialing: Country Code + Area/City
Code + Telephone Number.
For Example (dialing to New York, USA): 1-212-7773456 -
No need to dial "011" or "00".
If you continue to receive this error message, please contact
us quoting the error message S404 and listing
the following information:
1. The complete number that you are trying to dial, including
Country Code, Area Code and Number.
2. The Time and Date you tried to call the number and how
many times did you attempt to place your calls. Also mention
your account number.
Should you receive the error message S408
on your dialer when attempting to use your Tabtel account
this means that your connection has not been successful,
as our network was not able to process your connection.
We recommend that you wait a few minutes before dialing
again.
If you are receiving the error message
S400 when attempting to place a call this
indicates that due to high call volume and network congestion
the lines may be overloaded. Please try placing your call
again after few minutes, your call should connect.
If this problem persists, please contact
us with the specific phone number that you
are trying to reach. Also mention your account number.
If you are receiving the error message
S486 this indicates that the number you
are dialing is currently busy. Please try placing your call
again after few minutes.
Please
contact us if you continue to experience difficulty
with this number. Be sure to include the number you were
trying to call and your account number.
If you receive an error message S401
once you have logged into your account, this indicates that
due to a technical error your account has been disabled.
Please contact
us and quote the error message S401.
Be sure to include your account number.
